| Winemaking | Chardonnay fruit from Tweed River Vineyard was machine harvested at night and brought to the winery in the cool morning hours, allowing for ample skin contact before pressing. Fermentation occurred in a mix of stainless steel and older oak, creating variation and complexity. A touch of oak influence adds structure and direction to the wine, enhancing its overall character. |
AUSTRALIA (WA) ~ Blackwood Valley: Tweed River
The older vineyard was established in 1997 in the Blackwood Valley region, in the picturesque rolling hills of Boyup Brook. Our main grape varieties are Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, and Chardonnay, grown on various sloped sites within our vineyard to ensure the best growing conditions for each variety. Blackwood Valley vineyard has a tendency for smaller berry size, more fruit intensity, deeper colours, and concentrated flavours, from which we make extraordinary wines.
