Limite Cabernet Franc Costa Toscana is created from the finest selection of Cabernet Franc grapes grown along the Tuscan Coast in one of the most beautiful settings with some of the best conditions for growing this noble variety, which has found a new home in this corner of Tuscany. The choice of grapes to make Limite always involves a careful selection of the best bunches in the vineyard, followed by the separate vinification of the grapes from the most appropriate parcels according to the climate over the year, resulting in an elegant, characterful wine with a strong varietal identity, a great Mediterranean wine but with a fresh, dynamic quality, able to convey all the energy, power and character of Costa Toscana Cabernet Franc.

“I feel free to interpret wine by humbly listening to what nature wants to tell us through its force and energy, and that is why I am firmly convinced that creating great wine starts in the vineyard.” Since the beginning of my career, I have wanted to learn about and visit other wine-producing region around the world, and this has led me to spend time working and training in California, New Zealand and Argentina, where I enriched my cultural understanding of wine.

Grapes can communicate the richness and diversity of the terroir in which they are grown, and it is this richness and this diversity that have always historically set wines apart and which today I want to pursue in every project I undertake.

Toscana

The name of Tuscany is synonymous with its most famous, and probably Italy’s most famous, red wine. Chianti is produced in high volumes and exported worldwide, with a distinctive personality that is difficult to define but that has somehow impressed consumers all over the world. The Sangiovese grape is the key to the region’s success, as the backbone of DOCG wines in Chianti, Brunello di Montalcino, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and Carmignano. Yet the region’s prestige is today further enhanced by the evolution of the “Super Tuscan”, wines that now rank among some of Italy’s most refined. Failing to slot into any existing DOC or DOCG category, they are now largely classed as Toscana IGT in order to avoid the humble Vino da Tavola category.
