La Togata

The Togata is a small family company with vineyards in the south of Montalcino.

In the "caveau" the bottles are kept since the first year of production, the famous 1990.

The Togata is owned by the Angel family, a property of women: Stephania, Vanessa and Azzurra. The company is also conducted by Ms. Jeanneth Angel, master of wine, with its many years experience in international marketing in the wine world and also with the help of her husband, the lawyer Danilo Tonon, always been enthusiast of oenology. Every stage of production is personally followed with the maximum attention and dedication: from the choice of natural products for the care of the vineyards to the pruning only manuals.

The wine is aging in medium casks of Slavonian oak.

Toscana

The name of Tuscany is synonymous with its most famous, and probably Italy’s most famous, red wine. Chianti is produced in high volumes and exported worldwide, with a distinctive personality that is difficult to define but that has somehow impressed consumers all over the world. The Sangiovese grape is the key to the region’s success, as the backbone of DOCG wines in Chianti, Brunello di Montalcino, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and Carmignano. Yet the region’s prestige is today further enhanced by the evolution of the “Super Tuscan”, wines that now rank among some of Italy’s most refined. Failing to slot into any existing DOC or DOCG category, they are now largely classed as Toscana IGT in order to avoid the humble Vino da Tavola category.
